Brockton father takes ‘fight’ to the silver screen

A documentary about a city man’s foray into the world of mixed-martial arts, amid the backdrop of a deadly disease suffered by his twin sons, will be shown Friday at a premiere event at the Shaw’s Center.  Mark Chaupetta, 40, said he went against the advice of doctors when he took part in a cage fight at Campanelli Stadium last August, which he won. The event raised money for battling Duchenne muscular dystrophy, from which his twin 14-year-old sons, Troy and Andrew, suffer. Chaupetta’s training and fight are the subject of the 80-minute documentary, “A Father’s Fight.”

“I’m psyched. The movie’s awesome,” said Chaupetta, a professional private investigator. “I think it gives a positive thumbs up to the City of Champions here, sheds some positive light on the city.” READ MORE

Mark Chauppetta, Private Eye Who Worked for Scientology at the time of the South Park Investigation: “I’m a Fucking Mercenary”

Just got off the phone with Mark Chauppetta, a private investigator who has done work for the Church of Scientology, sifting through the trash of the church’s perceived enemies. Chauppetta worked for Scientology for several years, including the time the church was investigating South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, in 2006. (Chauppetta says he wasn’t personally involved in the South Park operation, but added that he wouldn’t confirm it even if that was the case.)
